On a Tuesday morning that otherwise would have been considered ordinary, the office was thrown into a frenzy at the sight of the new employee's banana. It was bruised. It was soft. It was turning brown. It was thinning at the stem. It was a scandal. Gossip quickly ensued as the man's coworkers wondered how a man who treats his bananas this way could have received the job offer.
We caught up with one of those coworkers to get the scoop. "It's just not right. Why didn't he eat the banana while it was still in its prime? At this point, the only thing he should be doing with that banana is making banana bread. That's it. Instead, all of us have to deal with the horror of walking by his desk and seeing that banana on its death bed, just waiting for someone to eat it."
Thankfully, the banana was eaten before lunch and order was restored to the office. It's unclear whether the man will recover from this incident with his coworkers, though. Only time will tell.
