We sat down with Ron Perlman recently to discuss his acting career and the wide array of experiences he has had over his nine lives. Depending on who you are, you may know him best for his roles in Hellboy and Sons of Anarchy, or you may know him as that intimidating stray coon cat in your neighborhood. He is a multi-talented, shape-shifting creature. He was married to Opal Perlman for 38 years until their separation in 2018, and he has been married to the streets for 70 years. He is a father to two children and countless litters.
"Hollywood has been good to me," remarks Perlman, "almost as good as the blocks of Washington Heights I've been patrolling these last 70 years. This old cat has gotten the opportunity to act in stage plays, film, and television, and I wouldn't change those experiences for the world." When asked to reveal what has driven him throughout his career, he responded, "milk and tuna, baby."
