The name was there. The vaping and tobacco products were there. The one thing that was not there, though, was business. It seemed like a great idea at the time. Vape Cod would set up shop on a busy street in Hyannis and attract the business of vacationing youth looking to take up vaping or to refill their vapes, as well as middle-age and older clientele who wanted to buy cigarettes or cigars to smoke out on the links or the boat.
In a typical New England summer on the Cape, Vape Cod likely would have been a hit. However, 2020 provided a summer that was far from typical. The business was forced to relocate to an area that did not rely on seasonal tourism. They knew of just the place. and Vape Cod was revived as Dunkin & Smokin'.
